Search Everything seems to be the best search plugin for WordPress to date – however, there is one small annoyance…

If a reader searches for “chocolate chip cookies” on our site (elanaspantry.com), shouldn’t the posts, with the exact search phrase in the title, show up first on the results page?

Here are the options I have checked for the plugin:

    – Search every page (non-password protected)
    – Search approved pages only?
    – Search every comment
    – Search every custom field (metadata)

There is no other plugin activated that would modify the search results page in any way…

I ended up scraping the search everything and search unleashed in favor of search reloaded – the only one that displays the most relevant search results for wordpress… at least for our site ??

thanks elanaspantry. I’m going to try search reloaded per your suggestion. These message boards seem kind of lonely when no one answers you, don’t they? still nice of you to post your findings re: searches.

    Hello,
At Setting -> Search Everything there is a way to configure but it is not mentioned there about how to point it from your page or post.
