[Plugin: Search Everything] Does this plugin actually work???

  • This plugin doesn’t seem to like certain keywords, doesn’t search titles and produces page results where the search term doesn’t exist. For instance I did a search for “cafe”. There is only one page in the site using this keyword. Not only does the plugin not find this page but instead produces a whole bunch of other pages where “cafe” doesn’t appear on the page in any shape or form. If I widen the search term to “cafe with extensive” it then finds the page. It therefore can’t be a problem with my custom field and other four letter search terms are found so it’s not a problem with the string length either.

    I’ve wasted hours editing my search results page to remove unwanted results but can’t solve the problem with titles or certain keywords that the plugin just simply doesn’t like.

  • Had ver 6.8 working perfectly – but got caught by allowing auto update from the plugins admin page; result: highlighting no longer worked.

    Deleted and back to ver 6.8 – and damn me days, now the highlighting no longer works in Firefox; works erratically in Chrome.

    A fast accurate search function is essential. This was the best search plugin – but it seems to have ongoing highlighting defects.

    Anyone have similar issues?
