• Hi, I’m searching for a plugin for wordpress that will popup and show the location of a visitor. I have seen a number of sites that when you go to them, a popup jumps up saying something like “Someone from Sydney is also viewing this page or site etc”. I think it would be a great traffic generator as well as a good way to get people to dig deeper into my site when they know there is competition.

Any ideas on Plugins that will do that?

Close but I’m really not wanting a whole page dedicated to it. I want a simple popup to show something like.

” A visitor from Sydney is looking at the wedding photography packages page ”

So would need to geolocate and know the page and randomly pop or a notice.
there are a few plugins for Woo but they require a transaction to have occurred rather than just a page visited.

Its a big ask I know but the benefits will be to keep people on my page longer and encourage exploration.

It looks like you can add things anywhere with shortcodes, widgets in the sidebar, or add it to a page, the information would still show what you are looking for unless you feel the popup aspect is key to visitors feeling the need to explore?
