    Hi!

I’ve been searching high and low for a plugin (or plain code) that can make a certain page’s content posted as “sticky” (and cropped as excerpt as other posts) on first page.

    Can some please help out?

PS: Sorry…I use WP 3.2.1 on my own server. Theme: Horcrux (if that matters…)

Have you tried making the post sticky via the Visibility options in Edit Post?

    Thanks.
but I’m not asking about a post. I’m asking about a page.

Pages are not listed in archive pages the same way that Posts are. So where would this “sticky Page” be shown?

Thanks again. But please read the question before you start posting replies. By that you’ll save time for both of us.

    Thank you.

On the first page of what? The phrase “and cropped as excerpt as other posts” implies a Post (archive) listing page.

Secondly, when referring to static Pages (as opposed to Posts), note the sentence-casing. The term “pages” (all lowercase) refers to any generic web page (eg a single Post, a static Page, an archive listing of Posts).

In order to help you, we need details. If you don’t provide them in the first place, then do not act start acting belligerently when you are asked the very questions needed to elicit those details. That’s no way to win friends or gain the help you came here for.

I’m happy to offer details. But as you obviously didn’t bother reading the initial post, you became tiresome.

Now, instead of saying “sorry, I missed that”, you’re arrogantly starting giving me lessons about “making friends”?

    Please just leave the thread.

    Thanks.
