[Plugin: Search Unleashed] Remove latin characters

I’m using the great Search Unleashed plugin on my blog but when I try to search something with latin characters like fun??o it runs the search on funo, removing the special characters.

Without the SU plugin my search run well…

I just can’t find the code, inside the plugin, that removes these “special characters” to make it work.
