• ok im new to wordpress and im following a guide on setting up what i want, but ive hit a wall with plugins, i cant even search for them never mind install them

    whenever i try searching for a plugin in the “add new” tab i get an error saying “An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.” and so far i havent been able to figure out how to get round this

    if anyone has any suggestions i would be extreamly greatfull

  • Try and replace all files and folders except wp-content folder of same version wordpress see if that solves the problem.

    thanks for that, sadly it didnt work, i also tryed a completely clean install of wordpress and its still giving me the same error

    IT could be that the hosting provider is blocking or filtering / tampering any type of outgoing http traffic from your WordPress installation.

    Check with the hosting provider.
