    I tried installing this plugin today, but I can’t get it to work. The new meta tags are showing, but I’m not getting results on my social media.

    First of all, I get this error on a post:

    WPSSO Notice:
    Possible conflict detected — your theme or another plugin is adding a meta itemprop="description" HTML tag to the head section of this webpage.

    The meta tag seems to be displayed correctly though, by WPSSO:

    <meta itemprop="description" content="EA har lansert en ny oppdatering til PC-utgaven av FIFA 16. En lignende oppdatering klargj?res ogs? for Xbox One og PlayStation 4. #fifa16 #oppdatering #pc">

    I know this because it includes the hashtags. However I don’t actually see WPSSO in action on my social media. Facebook doesn’t bring in the new and improved descriptions and I can’t see any Twitter Cards.

    Tips?

    Have you read the Setup Guide (an SSO menu item)?

    A few things to mention… If the Facebook crawler (among others) is unable to read your webpage meta tags and/or has issues parsing them and/or generate any error, it will reject most/all of the webpage meta tags. Have you submitted an example webpage URL to the Facebook debugger as suggested by the Setup Guide?

    Are you validating old or new content? I think it’s mentioned in the Setup Guide — Facebook prefers to use it’s cache, so if you’ve shared a URL before (and it has likes / re-shares), Facebook will hold on to the old info for quite some time. You can try refreshing its cache using the Facebook debugger — that works sometimes.

    You didn’t include an example URL and a description of the issue on that specific URL webpage (as requested in the forum sticky). Would you mind following up w that information so we can have a look at your webpage header?

    Thanks,

    js.

    Yes, I have read the Setup Guide.

    Facebook works. I went to the debugger and asked for new info and it collected everything as expected.

    Twitter cards doesn’t work though. URL https://fifasamfunnet.com
    Sorry about that.

    Have you submitted your URL to the Twitter Validator? Your meta tags look fine, except there’s no image. Have you defined a default image ID / URL in the General settings?

    <meta name="twitter:domain" content="fifasamfunnet.com"/>
    <meta name="twitter:site" content="@fifasamfunnet"/>
    <meta name="twitter:title" content="FIFASamfunnet &ndash; Der FIFA-frelste m&oslash;tes!"/>
    <meta name="twitter:description" content="Der FIFA-frelste m&oslash;tes!"/>
    <meta name="twitter:creator" content="Renyygade"/>
    <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary"/>

    Have you checked some Pages and Posts?

    Twitter validator gives me this. When I try with an article anyway. Posting a link to the article in a tweet doesn’t show a Twitter Card though. Isn’t it supposed to?

    WAIT! It does show now. I thought TweetBot and TweetDeck had support for Twitter Cards, but I guess they don’t. It shows up on Twitter.com and Twitter mobile, so I guess I’m all good. I don’t know why it didn’t show up earlier on the latter though, but it’s good now! ??

    BTW: Can I get an example as to what the bbPress options and look is? The Pro version is a big cost for a site like mine, so I need to be sure of what I get. Couldn’t see any screenshots of bbPress posts earlier.
