Plugin seems to not play nicely with ACF, exact circumstances unclear

    we are using ACF Pro heavily on our site. We today realized that when we upload an image to the media library and then assign this image to an ACF image field, the image changes post_type from ‘attachment’ to ‘page’ and won’t be displayed therefore.

    If we upload the image through the media popup on the page itself, this does not occur.

    The error seems to occur somewhere on the road through $wpdb->wp_insert_post()

    ACF Pro 5.5.7 and Post Type Switcher 3.0.0 running. No other Plugins.

    Since our setup is complex we need to investigate further, why exactly this is happening one way assigning an asset while the other it doesn’t.
