[Plugin: SEO Facebook Comments] suddenly getting lots of PHP errors

    I haven’t changed anything, and suddenly today I’m getting the following error repeatedly in my log:

    19-Feb-2012 23:51:00] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: 1: An unknown error occurred
    thrown in /path/to/wp-content/plugins/seo-facebook-comments/facebook/base_facebook.php on line 1044

    (I changed the path values, but the rest of the error is accurately copied).

    Any idea?

    Still getting those errors. Any feedback?

    I’m getting this: Every time now:

    Fatal error: Uncaught CurlException: 6: Couldn’t resolve host ‘api-read.facebook.com’ thrown in /~/XXX/wp-content/plugins/seo-facebook-comments/facebook/base_facebook.php on line 825

    it also break the formatting of my site completely when it happens. I’ve moved to Disqus until this is resolved.

    Hi guys,

    This is related to the Facebook PHP SDK, I guess the best way to solve this kinda of bug is to change it and tell to not throw any exceptions or errors, at least when the Facebook API is slow or down the plugin will just be temporarliy disabled, but not throwing errors around the site.

    I will take a look at it.
