  • Everything working swimmingly, thanks for the swift response ??

Version 7.4 does fix my issues.

Still having issues even with 7.4 Post entry page is scrambled and meta titles etc are hidden… returning to the old version fixed the problem….

@bacchusandbeery: Does it still happen when you disable all other plugins and activate the default theme?

John Lamansky…. have not taken that step… What do you mean by default theme?

John… I deactivated all plugins and updated Ultimate SEO… same problem. USEO is scrambled behind other aspects below the post entry. I can drag down the layers covering it but they just pop back…like peaking under the curtain. I am using Suffusion as my theme. I return to 7.2.9 and all is good

By “default theme” I mean Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven.

Would you be able to upload a screenshot of what you’re seeing and post the link here?

I have screenshots of before and after on a Word Doc. How can I send this file to you? You can send me your email address at [email protected]

I sent you an email. You might want to edit your post and remove your email address.

John… Any ideas… I sent the screen shot a few days ago… the problem still occurs even with your most current updates. I use Suffusion as my theme… Thanks

Thanks for sending me the screenshot, Roger. What happens if you temporarily switch to the default Twenty Eleven theme? (If the problem does go away when you switch to Twenty Eleven, then it’s likely the Suffusion theme that’s causing the problem.)

I am also using suffusion ( 4.2.8 = latest), I am having the same problems. When I switched to default theme, everything worked fine. I don’t get any js errors, might be some jquery mix up.

    Thanks for the input, Scotty101.

I’m guessing that the Suffusion theme has some code that is interfering with the SEO Settings box. Based on the screenshot that Roger (bacchusandbeery) sent me, it looks like there’s a Suffusion CSS rule that is “floating” the SEO Settings box so that it can’t push down what’s below it, and so the SEO Settings box becomes obscured. If this is the case, then obviously, the Suffusion CSS code would not be deliberately targeting SEO Ultimate in particular. I’ve never used Suffusion, so I’m just speculating here, but probably what’s happening is that perhaps SEO Ultimate and Suffusion both use the same JQuery code to generate a tab control; Suffusion’s CSS code is meant to affect the layout of Suffusion’s tab control, but because their code is not written properly, it’s affecting all tab controls on the post editor screen, including SEO Ultimate’s. Again, I’m just making a guess as to the particulars of the problem.

If it is indeed the case that Suffusion is causing the problem, as it would seem, then unfortunately, since there’s nothing I can do to change Suffusion’s code, you’ll have to try contacting Suffusion support about the problem. Please do feel free to pass along my educated guess about the cause of the problem to Suffusion support.

Thanks John for the reply and the problem description. I’ve posted it on the developers site
    Hopefully the problem can solved.

The latest version of Suffusion (4.2.9) should fix this.
