• Hello,
is there any plan to add the “Like” button feature (not the FB one), as in wordpress.com blogs?
I couldn’t fine any relevant lines in the code.

It would be nice not only for WP “Network” (former MU) installations, but also for a multi-author single blog with a theme like P2.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi lopo, that is just possible on wordpress.com, as it requires the people who “like” the post to be loged in, so that their gravatar can be shown above the like button. The visitors of your blog are in general not logged in into your site…

Well, in a multi-author/social blog with P2, as in my example above, most of the visitors would be registered and logged in… as it happens also on a single author blog that I manage, where comments are restricted to registered users, and there are 1800 of them.
(Even in WP.com blogs, the majority of readers are unregistered.)

Thats why I think that it would make sense to have a Like button on some self-hosted blogs.
