• Hello there,

I’ve been using this plugin for years now, but a recent theme switch seems to have broken it.

The related post setting are configured such to show 3 thumbnail pictures (and nothing more) at the bottom of every post made. This still goes alright and in the correct formatting.
However, further below another “related posts” heading has appeared, showing another 2 links to related posts (different ones than linked through the thumbnails), but only showing the post title, categories, date of posting and the author.

I really don’t want any of the second set of related posts to appear. And there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do about it from within the settings, as this kind of information is already set to “don’t show”.

This issue appears in both Firefox and Chrome, plugins, theme and wordpress are all up to date.

I would really appreciate your advice on this.

    Regards,

    Susanne Visch

    Hi,

I checked the code -> It looks like it might be your theme generating that second bit of related posts. Which theme is this?

Do you have any settings in the theme to turn the related posts off? Most of the themes usually give you an ability to do that

    Hi Ajay,

Thank you for reaction. I’m using the gutenix theme (https://www.ads-software.com/themes/gutenix/).

You think that second bit of related post is purely due to the theme? And no, there is no option to turn related posts in the theme off as far as I’ve found in the settings.

If that is indeed the case, this is a reason to resume my search for another theme. Thanks for weighing in!

    Regards,
    Susanne

I would suggest asking their support team for this. The theme looks to be actively managed.

    If I see here: https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/gutenix/1.1.2/inc/template-related-posts.php#L51

It looks like there might be a way to disable this which might be in Customizer but I don’t know where exactly.
