[Plugin: SI CAPTCHA for WordPress] Error reading captcha cookie

all tests went fine, but when i’m trying to send it gives error
but it does send email even if it reports error

Hi Mike, sorry for the delay – I’ve been offline for quite a while.

I’ve rigged-up a test page at https://www.sladeride.com/test/ using the Fast & Secure Contact form to show you what I mean.

(in the meantime I’ve had to remove any visibility of both the Fast & Secure Contact Form and SI Captcha Antispam from public part of my site although both plugins are activated)

Maybe another plugin is conflicting.
Do this as a test:
Temporarily disable all your other plugins.
Does it work now? If yes, enable the plugins one by one to determine
which one conflicts. Which plugin was causing it?

Hi Mike, thanks for the response.

Apologies if I didn’t make it clear in my first post (of 4 weeks ago admittedly) but I have already tried that and even with all plugins disabled apart from Fast & Secure Contact Form, I still get the same error. Just in case I tried it again a moment ago, with all other plugins disabled and I get the same problem.

All 3 of the tests from the plugin admin page work fine and I normally receive e-mail from wordpress no problem. My host has mailto disabled to I tried flipping to use php to send the mail but still no joy. I’m at a loss! ??

I’d really like to use both plugins so if you can help that would be great. Let me know if you need any more info

It could be the theme you are using is causing it…
Do this as a test:
In Admin, click on Appearance, Themes.
Temporarily change your theme to the “WordPress Default” theme.
Does it work properly now?
If it does then the theme you are using is the cause.

Just tried switching to wordpress defualt theme and get the same error ??

I’m going to double-check https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/si-contact-form/faq/ and see if I missed anything and will let you know the outcome

I’ve just tried going through your faq link (above) to make sure I’ve tried all of the steps that you mention – aside from trying the gmail option I’ve gone through all of the steps again and still no luck. I get the same error (the one from the title) when using Fast and Secure Contact Form at https://www.sladeride.com/test/

I’ve tried IE8 and FF3.6.3 and both give the same.

Could it be that even when disabled another plug-in is causing a conflict? Any other ideas? Hoping you can help

Ok thanks for your help Mike. Unless there’s a way of getting FSCF and SICAPTCHA working with my current other plugins I’m going to have to leave those two disabled for now in order to keep the site running as it is currently. If a list of plugins that I have installed is any use to you (perhaps for future releases) then am happy to e-mail them to you
