Oh and you can see it working nicely at https://sethcarstens.com/

Its used to embed the google voice object that wordpress MU kept removing from my code upon publication.

    I can possibly answer that.

I get quite few queries from users about this plugin. It’s turned out, in all cases that I’ve seen, that it’s user error, not following the instructions correctly.

Obviously, we all make mistakes and I have no problems helping people to sort out the problems that they’re having. However, I suspect some people are not contacting me first and are then rating it poorly.

Maybe you should make the instructions work against a 1st grader.

I’ve been looking for a clear set of instructions to add a google voice call widget for more than an hour now and nothing has cleared up the process and said exactly how to do it.

Anyone know how to put a google voice call widget on a wordpress blog that they can explain in simple step by step process?

    Please !

    Thanks

I’ll look at simplifying the instructions for a future release.

Ok, here’s how to do it.

Under each post is a section named “Custom Fields”. In this section, click on “Enter new” and type in a field named “CODE1”. In the “Value” field to the right of it paste in your Google Voice Call Widget code.

Finally, click on “Add custom field”.

To get the Google Voice Widget to appear in that post (and it only works for the same post) simple place %CODE1% where you wish it to be located.

And that’s it. You can specify different number on the end of your field name (CODE1, CODE2, etc) so that you can have multiple code embeds per post.
