[Plugin: Simple Expires] customizing plugin

  • Hello,
    i want to customize this plug-in to achieve my requirement
    ” i have a job site, where i want to put a new meta field/custom taxonomy called ‘expiration-date’ and when a person visit a post i want to check whether that post is expired or not using that value comparing with today”

    so…
    i want this plugin

    NOT TO: change status of post, send me mail of expiration notification

    and want to achieve:
    in the front end, find this meta value and show user whether its expired or not

    can you please help me achieving this?
