• Hi Otto,

You’re probably not going to answer to this one since you made it clear tyhat you’re sick of giving support to the “FB Login to comment” module.

Still, I got everything in place, as with the [div id=”comment-user-details”] [?php do_action(‘alt_comment_login’); ?] stuff and ID’s for the fields, but the module does not work anymore. It used to with previous versions of WP.

Now I run 3.3.1 and I tried to deactivated all others plugins. Still nothing: I got a plain text “Connect with Facebook” but it’s not a button nor a link. And if I am already connceted on FB, it doesn’t log you in automatically, like it used to do.

You can chack it out here:

I hope you can give me a little help with this. Thanks.

You’re including the Facebook Share button on the page (next to the tweet button).

The FB.Share code is incompatible with all newer Facebook code and causes it to break. Also, Facebook has stopped supporting or updating it, and thus the FB Share button is deprecated.

Remove the FB Share button and everything else should start working properly.

Thanks Otto, that solved my problem, I appreciate your hemp on this. I would have never guessed!

Anyway, the “Share”button is deprecated? is there an altrernative now to share a webpage on Facebook?

The Share has been replaced with the Like button for all use cases. The result from them is virtually identical anyway.
