If you don’t get the permission to post on their wall, then the app can’t publish to their wall when they choose to do so (via the Share-this-comment feature).

i know. I just propose to have it as a checkbox in admin page –
to use or not “share this comment feature” at all and thus to ask or not this permision when soneone connects with facebook.

When he/she connects, he/she is not aware of the fact that there will be a “share-this-comment” feature/check-box, he/she might thinkg the application will cross-post always and will abuse that permission, etc.

Speaking for myself, I would rather not connect to a web page with a posting permission, as a facebook user i would prefare to give the application only read writes (no write/post/…).

I think I understand what he’s saying. Basically the user is not logged into wordpress via any method. The “Allow FB Login to Comment (for non-registered users)” module is enabled.

Now on top of the comments form the user clicks the “Connect with Facebook” button. At this point the user is only asked to “Authenticate” with facebook. Allowing the website to get their Name/email/avatar. This is used for the comments form.

Now, the form reloads, they write their comments. They see the checkbox for “Share this with facebook” at this point if they check it, now they are prompted “Hey do you want this website to post to your wall.”

And also, add a option in the administration screen to display or not display the “Share this with facebook” checkbox.

    Bryan, exactly!

    Yes, please add this option.

As an end user I won’t put a comment to any blog if after connection through my Fbook account I see this message, I would immediately close the page.
