[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Problem With Login

  • Hello,

    First, thanks for this great plugin. I am really looking forward to using it to its fullest potential.

    I have a small problem. I have activated both plugins (Simple Facebook Connect & Simple Twitter Connect) and unable to login with either one on my website. When I hit the Connect with Facebook button, it doesn’t take me anywhere, i.e. it just refreshes the login page.

    When I hit the Connect with Twitter button, it takes me to Twitter where I enter my login information, but when it comes back to the website it says – Twitter user not recognized.

    Can you help me get both of these functions running?

    If you activated the Login plugin (either one), then you need to go to the Users->Your Profile page and connect your accounts to the WP user account.

    The error “Twitter user not recognized.” means exactly what it says. You successfully connected via Twitter, but it has no idea who you are or who to log you in as. Connect the two accounts and it’ll then work.

    Hi Otto,

    I had a setting wrong in the Simple Facebook Connect, which kept me from being able to connect. Got that sorted out after a few hours of hunting and testing. Figured out the twitter one after I read through the comments on your website.
