• 1st off, thanx Otto! The entire plugin is a great piece of work and I appreciate all the detail and effort.
    Couple of questions:
    a) how many of the events from FB will be pulled over & displayed at a time
    b) Is there a way to display a certain number, or range, of events on a page instead of the sidebar

To get the widget to work on a pages content area, I simply created a widget are specifically for it within a custom page template (https://theunclean.com/events/).

Still curious how many events are pulled/show; and would like to control that.

I was notified (and confirmed) that the events list is only visible to people when they are logged into Facebook.
Is there a way around requiring people to be logged into Facebook just to view the events list?

The events have to be public, as does the page. I think. I’ve never really been too sure about how FB privacy settings work for events.

Hey Otto. That was one of the first things I considered. So I double checked it already.
Both the page and the events are public. In fact, you can go to Facebook and view both the page and the events while logged out of Facebook, but you cannot see the events on another website when logged out of Facebook.

To be honest, the events sub-plugin is rather half-baked. It needs a fair amount of work.

That work probably won’t happen for a while, until the rewrite for the Graph API.
