[Plugin: Simple Google Connect] Simple google connect bugs

    I found some bugs in simple google connect.
    Hope you will fix it in your next version.

    1) I connected my google account from my profile yesterday. I tried to login using “signin with google” button.
    But it pops up a windows loads 5 seconds and then displays “Error 404 – Not Found”.

    But when i refresh my main site, its logged in.

    2) I clicked logout button. But its shows blank page instead of redirecting me to the login page.

    Ps: I tried many plugins for google,yahoo,twitter and facebook connect. I tried around 7 plugins. But most of them has bugs. They doesn’t have security as much as your plugins does. And the best thing is your plugins often updated. So your plugins are my best choices.
    I installed sfc,stc and sgc.

    I’m fully satisfied with SFC.
    STC and SGC doesn’t offer, registration directly.
    It would be awesome if they have registration module.

    I believe his focus is on the facebook plugin since he is fixing issues reported for that plugin. You may want to try another plugin called wp google plus connect. It’s located here: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-google-plus-connect/

    I want all google (non google+) users to access my site. But I guess wp google plus connect can be used only by google plus users.

    SGC will indeed receive updates, however it is not a complete plugin as yet, since Google doesn’t have all the APIs for bits I want to add. It will receive incremental improvements until a version 1.0 is released.

    Thanks for the reply. Can I expect registration module in SGC and STC?
    How long will it take two release 1.0 version. 2 – 3 months?

    STC is hard. Twitter doesn’t give out emails.

    SGC is easier. Google does give out emails, so it should be easy to add, I just haven’t done it yet.

    Ok. I don’t have to worry about SGC registration module then.

    As for the twitter module why not you do like this?

    1) User click connect with twitter button
    2) After oAuth authentication we should either popup a form to fill user email id or just display a warning message in the admin area like this. “Hello username, It seems like you signed up in this site using Twitter. Unfortunately twitter doesn’t give out your email. So go to [your profile] and fill your email id”

    Most site(for example shopping site) doesn’t need email verification. Because the user is gonna use the site temporarily.

    However if email verification is required we can following the third step
    3)After updating email we just send out a verification mail. If the user verified email then he can use the site or normal user. Else we display a warning message to verify the email

    I guess its possible in wordpress. What do you say otto?
