[Plugin: Simple Tags] UTF8 issue? ( only works with English language? )

Perfect plugin, saves people a lot of time, but, i just installed in another website which is UTF8 non English, and it looks like its not working there. Does not auto add tags at all, no matter what combination is selected in settings.
Question is, Should work for UTF 8 or i should uninstall from that siteAndrew
