[Plugin: Simple Twitter Connect] Register with Twitter details

    Sign in with Twitter works great for users of my site that have already registered at my site.

    Are there any plans to modify the plugin to let users register a new account with their Twitter details? An idea would be to let the user enter their Twitter email address at registration and after clicking “register” the plugin is able to pull their avatar, username and bio from their Twitter account.

    Not out of the box, but I have written a (very dirty but function) module that allows twitter registration. Contact me if you’re interested, although I suggest you use the plugin WordPress Social Login if this is a very important thing for you.

    The plugin does seem to support registration out of the box. Try it, it does work

    Simple Twitter Connect does not support registration, actually. Twitter doesn’t expose a meaningful email address via their API, which I consider necessary for a proper registration mechanism.
