    Hey Otto! Thanks again for creating the twitter version I begged you for!

    All of a sudden a couple of days ago, Twitter comments (those who logged in via Twitter, that is) stopped appearing. They just don’t load, and show a broken symbol.

    Also, FYI, when they did show up, they were large format, scaled down, so they took a while to load compared to gravatar ones, etc. But that’s just an FYI and low priority.

    Right now, though, the broken images for the thumbnails is a bit of a problem. Thanks bud!

    The thumbnails may go up and down from time to time, the plugin relies on the spiurl project being up and working for thumbnails. This is because Twitter does not provide static image links that will persist for a username. You’ll notice that they are working again now. Other twitter plugins rely on this same service, there’s not much of a better way to do this.

    As for sizes, if you look in the code of the comments plugin, you’ll find where it builds the IMG link, which looks like this;

    https://purl.org/net/spiurl/otto42/original

    That “original” on the end can be changed to “mini”, “bigger”, or “large” as well, if you want to get a different size. It’ll still get scaled, because those 4 sizes are the only sizes available, but you can change it closer to the size you want for speed purposes.
