That’s correct. From version 2.0.0 on, images aren’t attached to slideshows anymore. You can pick from images you have already uploaded, using the ‘Insert Image Slide’ button in the slides list of your slideshow page. It’s actually described in the FAQ: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/faq/

The advantage of not attaching images to the slideshow, is that you can use images that have already been uploaded to other posts and show them in your slideshow.

I hope that helps. Have fun!

When I click on the insert image slide button I get no images even though I have many in my media gallery. I don’t know how to get to the images.

I did a little searching, and found that Internet Explorer 8 shows no popup for the image inserter. Are you working on Internet Explorer 8 right now?

If you’re not, could you please tell me what browser you use and which version of WordPress you have?

Thanks for the information. Having at least WordPress 3.3 installed is absolutely necessary in order to show the slideshow in your page and is also required to be able to insert slides into your slideshow.

I hope you’re able to upgrade your WordPress installation.

    Goodluck!

Hi! My problem is slightly different.
When I click on the insert image slide button I see all my media images but not the “insert” button so I can’t select any of my images. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

    Hi Cadzgiz,

This is probably a CSS issue that causes the ‘insert’ button to fall off-screen. I’ll have a bug-fix release ready in ten hours from now.

    Thank you for reporting it!

    Best regards,
    Stefan

Bug-fix version 2.1.2 is now ready for download and will hopefully fix your problem.

I hope you’re able to see the ‘insert’ buttons now. Otherwise, could you please tell me what browser you’re using and what version of WordPress you run?

I wasn’t able to entirely reproduce your problem, so I’m not completely sure if this update will fix it.

Thanks so much Stefan, it works! I feel I will love this plug in ??
Now, if only the image of the pictures would show in the slide show. We can only see the title. I am using the 3.4.2 version of WP with Weaver II version 1.1.3.
I see there are other posts on the subject, I’ll try to read on those and figure it out before I bug you further.
Thanks again for taking the time.

    Hi again Stefan,

?? I couldn’t figure it out as the posts seem to refer to an earlier version.
What am I doing wrong? https://leseclipses.org
(I’ve put the dark background now so that you can see better)

    Hi Cadzgiz,

You most definitly did not do anything wrong, it’s just very unlucky you had to come across two bugs right after each other.

I was able to find what caused your problems, thanks to the link you provided. I have resolved the issue in version 2.1.3.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    WooHoo!! It works! You rock!

Thanks a whole, whole bunch for being so kind in communication and efficient at solving the problems.
    It’s a great plug in!
    I fell I will love it ??
