I love the way this slideshow looks in the screenshots, but I cannot get the plugin to work correctly. It displays all my photos much larger than the screen! The resolution of my images is around 2048×1536 pixels (which is also much larger than my screen).

I tried regenerating all my thumbnails after installing the plugin, but that didn’t help. I’d rather not have to resize all my original images to get them to fit into the slideshow — that would be very inconvenient and really shouldn’t be necessary. Portfolio Slideshow, for example, works fine with my images just the way they are.

Is there any way to get this to work? I really want this look for my slideshows — it’s great!

    Thank you,

    Fred

P.S. Shadowbox JS also works fine with my images just the way they are.

Shadowbox and Prettyphoto are both integrated into the slideshow and work well with non-resized images.

    Cameron,

Thanks for your reply! I had already installed Shadowbox and enabled it in your plugin, but it didn’t solve my problem — the images were still displayed too big. I tried it again just now to be absolutely sure that Shadowbox was enabled — it was, and I’m still having problems.

    What should I do?

Hmmm… Strange, maybe shadowbox doesn’t support image resizing then. Perhaps try pretty photo?

    Cameron,

Thanks for your suggestion — I haven’t tried using prettyPhoto. I’m currently using Shadowbox together with Portfolio Slideshow. Shadowbox does a good job of resizing the images automatically. You can see a demo by going to this page:

    https://www.santlytraining.com/seminars/

By default, the slideshow is embedded in the page using Portfolio Slideshow. If you click on an image, it’s enlarged and resized using Shadowbox.

Like I said, I really like the look of your slideshow, but the plugin isn’t behaving on the site I’m building. Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Fred
