Plugin slows down my site

    The plugin adds load to the site, but I haven’t noticed any dramatic decrease in performance in my own install.
    Main cause of slowdowns can be the amount of database queries needed. You can try to remove some widgets. See if that helps.
    Also, the configuration of the database (cache, etc.) can help sometimes. But you’ll need your hoster for this, I guess.

    About the other plugin. Have you tried temporarily disabling that one? To see if there is indeed a conflict.

    OK, I figured out that my plugin Quick Chat was responsible for this issue. Now it is working well.
