Plugin slows WordPress database queries massively (100x slower)

    Hi. I’ve used the plugin for a long time and I love it.

    For a long time now, if I have even just a few spam and click “empty spam”, it takes 20 seconds or so. If I’ve been attacked and have 200 spam, it takes a massive amount of time. I can’t use my admin back-end for minutes, and my host sends me emails warning me of high CPU usage.

    I deactivated all my plugins and it didn’t help. But I then made a copy of the site with no plugins, and suddenly it sped up.

    So on my live site, I removed each plugin’s files completely one at a time, and I found the culprit: Admin Management Xtended.

    As soon as I removed the plugin files, emptying spam takes 2 seconds, like it always used to do (I’ve got a huge database on a dedicated server).

    So there’s definitely an issue somewhere with the plugin.

    I want to keep using it – has anyone got any advice as to what particular function might be causing the slowdown? It might just be the way the plugin interacts with my particular codebase, so I’m prepared to make changes if I have to.

    Hey evilplan,

    I’m a bit confused why my Admin Management Xtended plugin would be slowing down the comments/spam management panel as it doesn’t add ANY queries to the comments/spam management panel. ??

    It does add stuff to the posts/page/media panels, but nothing to the comments panel.

    An option would be to use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/debug-objects/ to view all plugin’s queries and check which might cause the high database load.
