[Plugin: Smarter Navigation] Navigating only Featured category on homepage

I’ve made my homepage only show posts found in the “Featured” category. When I click on one of those posts, and navigate forward, it cycles thru the other category the post is also organized under, rather than the “featured” category. If I go to the “featured” category page, it works fine. Only from the home.php does it not cycle thru properly.
Any ideas how I can make it cycle thru the featured category from the homepage?
