[Plugin: Social Crowd] G and YT stats not showing

Glad you like the plugin.

The G+ issue is caused by some changes that google made, which broke the code that was grabbing the stats. So I am working on a different algorithm to fix it.

The You Tube I’m not sure of, that’s a new one, so I will give it a look and see if I can get a fix for that one as well.

And yes the option to select the stats that are displayed is on the to do list, it just hasn’t made it into a release yet. But it should soon.

Just posted a new release that should fix the Google+ issue. But I couldn’t locate the problem with Youtube, it appears to be functioning correctly.

I might need to get some additional information to troubleshoot that issue.

Is that 0.7.2? We installed that this morning but the G+ & YT stats are still zero (we even deleted the cache just to be sure).

Can we give you any info that may help?

0.7.3… it is still showing 0.7.2 for some reason…. but the download link is for 0.7.3… I’ll see if I can fix it.

Ok, it looks like I may have the version issue fixed, you should see it available in your wordpress admin panel as an available upgrade in a few minutes.

it may take up to the length of your defined “interval” before you will see the changes in the stats. Just FYI

Good man. That’s fixed the G+ count. No YT count, but maybe we’ll lose that until we can choose to have view instead of subs (5 million looks so much better!).

BTW, is there a quick hack to have a click through open in a new window?

Not a super quick hack, but I will make note of that and include an option to have the links open in a new window with the next release.

I’ll also work on adding some options about which stats to show in the next release.

Not sure what is the malfunction on YT. if you know how to check your web server log, feel free to send me any errors that may be showing up from the plugin, that may give me a better place to start.

Updated to 0.7.3 and still cant see number of people in Google circles, could you try 113195540550650500682 as ID of page? Doesnt work for me…

Google hasn’t released a public API as yet to get these numbers so I am scraping them from the live pages, but I have only worked on personal pages to this point. I have played around with your page today and it is proving a daunting task. Google keeps switching up their design elements to try and stop exactly what my code does.

I will have to play with it a little more before I will have a fix. Sorry I don’t have better news, but it is on the “fix-it” list.

Saw the comment about the code to grab circles numbers not working on pages in our email (although it’s not showing here). Just to say that ours is a business page and seems to be pulling numbers properly after the last plugin update (o.7.3).

Count still not showing in 0.7.4 release ??
