[Plugin: Socialize] Trying to "Share" ON FB Not Working

    Each time I hit the “Share” button from a post or Page the FB widget comes up with No Title and the link looks like the following:

    Any help is greatly appreciated. I’m thinking this is something wrong on my end because I’ve installed 3 different plugins like this and neither work.

    I would switch to the Like button if I were you. I’m going to fully remove the share button in the next version so might be a good idea to switch sooner than later. Facebook no longer supports the share button and its days are numbered.

    Hmm, one problem is that the “Like” button doesn’t allow you to select an image, and FB tends to pick a wrong one (say, a button on the sidebar, instead of an image in the actual post).

    I googled, and this link seems to explain the problem:

    Basically you need to add a meta tag to the page:

    <meta property=”og:image” content=”(the image’s URL)” />

    Is it possible for this plugin to, in the future, add that tag? Maybe pick the first linked image in the post, or, even better, just add a text box for the user to paste an URL?

    I added OAuth support in the latest release so it should pull the correct images now.

    You may need to run some of your pages through the Facebook Linter to get Facebook to refresh it’s data https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/
