[Plugin: Songkick Concerts and Festivals] Useful little plugin

  • I’m glad to see that someone finally built a Songkick widget. It does what it needs to effectively but does have room to grow into an amazing WordPress integration for Songkick. For the time being it does what I need, but I’m sure there could be more features added for artists to integrate it as their tour listings.

    The only down-side I had was needing a new API key. It took a couple of days for Songkick to get back to me, which means the plugin isn’t as plug and play as one would hope.

  • hello! great plugin! its working perfectly when using the ‘artist’ shortcode. But I cannot get the ‘user’ shortcode to work. I have an API, and a corresponding username added to the plugin settings page, but when I use the shortcode the only result I see is “No Events”. If you have any time at all, I’d be really grateful if you can throw any light on this.. thanks ??

    Hey,

    First of all, your API key is private, so you mustn’t share it in public. Please email support at songkick.com to get a new one.

    You don’t have any events that you are attending with this user (matt-bagguley) that’s why there are no events.

    jmauritzson: sorry I didn’t reply to your message.

    As I said, it’s very hard for me to keep track of messages in this one thread. Creating new threads or sending a GitHub issue should be easier for me.

    Did you manage to get it working? If the calendar format is messing up your styling, you can turn it off, if you’re using shortcode, setting the flag “no_calendar_style=true”
