[Plugin: Special Recent Posts] UTF-8 Compatibility

I’m using this great plugin (the pro one)in my non english website (spanish), and the problem is the UTF-8 compatibility,
When using special characters like á é í ó ú Only shows the title until it finds the first special character then cut the rest of the title. There is anything I can do?
