[Plugin: Spectacu.la Discussion] get_avatar() in ajax

First of all I would like to thank you for the wonderful plugin!
I am using User Photo plugin for custom avatars uploaded by users and it overrides the standard get_avatar(). It’s working great with your plugin. However there’s one notice.

The custom avatars show well when they are not newly added via ajax.
I assume that since there’s no get_avatar function in the spec-ajax.php, the User Photo plugin has nothing to override. As a result I get default “Mystery man” avatar for the just added comments (without refreshing the page).

Could you please help me insert get_avatar function into the ajax part so that it can get overriden by User Photo plugin? Or at least give a hint what i shall start with.
