    Hey there,

A client of mine installed this plug-in and set up up. It was all working just amazing. Now a few weeks ago (3/4 week i guess) the plugin stopped showing the wrapper option.

So first thing i did was deactivate all the plugins and try it again with only woocommerce and gift wrapper activated. Nothing.

I’ve just updated the latest version of wordpress and the giftwrapper plug-in. Also did i update the PHP version to 8.1

So after the updates i made the plug-in delete all its option. Delete it and reinstalled it.

But again, no option to wrap their lovely gifts.

Do you have any idea whats going on?

The activated theme is divi, PHP version 8.1 everything updated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Have you briefly tried the plugin with a core WP theme such as twentytwentyone? Please first confirm it also doesn’t work with a core WP theme.

    Thank you!

Does your Gift Wrap Woo product have a price?
Can you send a screenshot of your settings?

I’ve decided to host them myself so i can delete them whenever there is a solution! Hope you dont mind.

Looking forward to your response. Thanks!

OK. You can delete those if you wish.

Have you tried any other of the gift wrap prompts locations (after cart, before checkout, voor de winkelwagen totalen, etc) to make sure a theme change didn’t cause this function loss? Are you running debugging? Are there any Gift Wrapper-related debug logs?

    Thread Starter RobertPeterson.nl

    (@petersonict)

    Hey there,

i’ve tried other locations, nothing seemed to work. I have tried the before cart total which gave me the clearest indicator of the location where it should pop up (changed the mode to modal pop up) but nothing happened.

I havent seen it work with Divi, a colleague of mine said she installed it and insist on it working with the theme, so i have to believe her on her word.

But the entire website is made in Divi (a builder) so there hasnt been a theme change, that would break the entire webiste.

I’ve enabled the debugging state in the plesk hosting. Which gave me a debug log for divi_mobile I’ve disabled this plug but without any result.

im breaking my head on this issue, not idea what would cause it.

If you also are at a loss maybe its better for both of our time that i look for an alternative?

i could also give you a temporarily account on the website? So you can first hand give a look.

Btw: Big thumps up for your really fast response on this forum great to see a developer care for their product! Thanks allot!

Before we proceed, please confirm positively that the plugin still doesn’t work with:

    – twentytwenty or twentytwentyone theme installed AND activated

    AND

    – all plugins deactivated except WooCommerce and Gift Wrapper.

I need to know 100% you have done this. These two things comprise BASIC WordPress troubleshooting, and avoid a LOT of head-breaking ruling out plugin and theme conflicts.

    Hey there,

I will have to rebuild a portion of the webshop for this, since Divi is a builder it only displays shortcodes in the default themes.

Ofcourse thats no problem but i dont have the time for that today or in the weekend! I will be back with this on monday!

    Have a good weekend!

Divi is a theme that includes a builder on the backend for constructing pages. If you have constructed custom cart or checkout templates that may be why you don’t have the WooCommerce hooks firing that Gift Wrapper depends on.

If you just made a page and used the [woocommerce_cart] shortcode in it and pointed WooCommerce to that page for the Cart page, and [woocommerce_checkout] for the Checkout page, that’s one thing. If you’re doing otherwise, I’d need to know that. These pages could be swapped out quickly and briefly for testing.

    Hey there,

Thanks for the headsup. Unfortunately i decided to install a different gift wrapper. I dont think your plugin works with builders because of the shortcodes.

+ I dont have the 100% guarantee that the plug-in worked before the asked me to check it. Which meant it could be all allot of work and debugging for nothing (its contract based so couldnt count my hours)

Thanks for the help and for the great plugin. I’ll use it again for a different client. But this one was so stressed it that it should’ve worked yesterday, i decided for this other solution.

    Have a great evening.

    Greetings,

    Robert
