    Hi,

I installed and activated the Stout Google Calendar plugin in my blog. I also copied and pasted the Google Calendar iframe embed code as instructed.

When I add the calendar it says it ‘successfully created’ the calendar. However, (1) it does not list out under saved calendars, (2) the given calendar name is not listed out in the widget, and (3) the widget area in my blog says the code is incorrect.

    Can you help please?

    Thanks!

    Nilu, from Colombo, Sri Lanka

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for looking into the problem. I too have been reading a bit on the forums and there is a strong chance it has nothing to do with the plugin itself, but is in fact a hosting issue. If you notice in my earlier details the MySQL server version and the client version are different. From what I have read, this can cause ‘unpredictable behavior’ ?? My host is yahoo, and many yahoo users appear to have issues, which are not being addressed by yahoo quickly enough. So, either I have to change the host to know for sure, or I need to wait it out. My blog links (which were post name + date) also stopped working and I had to enable the default wordpress link. All this happened after upgraded to WordPress 3.0.4.

    Thanks!

@nilu – Thanks for the followup. Please let me know if Yahoo fixes this and if Stout Google Calendar starts working as expected. Or let me know if you switch hosting and if that helps.

@rgaubatz – Do you think you may be having the same issue with the server and client versions of Mysql not matching?

@thekjub9 – Sounds like your hosting doesn’t have cURL or fopen installed which are a requirement for this plugin to work. Who is hosting your site?

I’m having this same issue: Add a calendar. Says it successfully added it. No added calendar shows. I have 2 previous calendars that were set up without a hitch, so it may be the fault of one of the plugin updates–the previous 2 were created quite some time ago, and the shortcode continues to work properly.

Please try deactivating and reactivating the plugin. Does this make any difference?

    Bingo. Thanks so much.

Cool. Glad to hear that worked. There was a database update in one of the latest releases and it sounds like it didn’t take on auto update. I’ll look into this a bit more and see if there is a fix I can apply.

I had initially network activated the plug-in.

After your most recent post, I decided to deactivate and then activate by blog, and it worked!

Awesome! Now I have a better idea where to look. Hopefully I can figure out a fix.

hi site is hosted by https://www.ic.cz its a free webhosting ??
can I go around it ? to upload the ical calendar file directly or ?
    any idea ?

@thekjub9 google calendar embed code will work directly in a post or page. If the Plugin version 1.2.3 is what you are using (just pushed up today), it sounds as tho you will not be able to use the pligin because the free hosting does not meet the requirements.

I successfully have embeded the google calendar code on my post page … there was no problem

The Google embed code should always work if you put it directly in a post/page. The Stout Google Calendar plugin needs some additional resources on the server in order to fetch, process and append the custom CSS styles. If your server doesn’t meet the requirements, this plugin won’t work properly.

I am trying to install Stout Calendar Plugin to my wordpress blog.
I am using Outlook 2007. I can not find the TAB on the calendar which brings up the embeded iframe code.
i have been looking at the bottom og the calendars as instructed.
where else could i find the iframe code?
any help would be greatly appreciated
    Jim

Jim, you will have to use a Google Calendar to use this plugin. It does not work with other calendar applications.
