When Yoast SEO and the Advanced Custom Fields plugin is installed, Yoast’s stylesheet creates problems with the layout of ACF select fields in the backend. ACF uses the Select2 script to enhance multiselect fields and those fields receive unwanted styling from the CSS file at /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/dist/monorepo-1410.css?ver=14.1.

I believe Yoast should properly scope its styles concerning Select2. At the moment, those styles seem to be universally applied to .select2-container, which affects ACF (and probably other plugins that rely on Select2.

    Hi @herrschuessler ,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention!

We apologize?for the trouble you are currently experiencing with our plugin. Luckily, a so-called “bug report” had been filed and a fix is already on its way which is included in the upcoming Yoast SEO 14.2.

While we do not have a specific release date of the said version, once it’s released, please update your plugin and test if it works for you.
