  • I am having the same issue as dcroe05. Very excited to get this up and running.

Here is the test page I was using that produces that error: https://www.springgunpress.com/852-2

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Guys,
We’re looking at this. It comes from the WP RSS Reader SimplePie. Are you both using the latest versions of WordPress?

Thanks. I’ll be back to you shortly.

    Best,
    Michael

Thanks Michael! I am using the latest version of WordPress. Thanks for looking into it.

Thanks for looking into this. I wasn’t sure what you meant in your last message, but I just wanted to be clear that my blog does not use SimplePie.

    Hi,
SimplePie is part of the core in WP. It’s not a plugin.

Would you guys mind trying this?

You’ll need to delete the old one, then install this directly. This will result in your categories being ordered by the date they were created rather than the exact order, but it should fix the error.

Please let me know. And feel free to call if something isn’t clear or you have questions. My direct line is (855) 467-8264 x 700

Sorry again that you ran into this. Look forward to figuring out the problem.

That seems to have done the trick for me.

    Thanks.

Question: Could the problem have been inadvertently caused if the wrong domain was entered? When I installed the new plugin I notices that my co-admin had entered the full subdomain path instead of just the “xxxxxxxxx” part. I just thought I’d add that in case it helps debug.

    Hi,
Yes, that definitely…having the wrong name would definitely have broken it! But I still think it’s a different problem.

FYI: the fix I just gave you isn’t perfect; the categories aren’t ordered by your order, just the date they were created. It should work for now, but I’m still working on this.

    Thanks!

    Michael

That fixed it for me. Thanks Michael!

    Erin,
Do you know if the original worked when the sub domain was correct?

    Thanks!

Hi! Please let me know if this wasn’t resolved when the full URL was removed?

    Thanks.

    Best,
    Michael
