[Plugin: Subscribe to Comments Reloaded] Checkbox not working?

    Hi,

    I’ve installed the “Subscribe to Comments Reloaded” plugin in my webiste (https://www.databits.com.pt) but it just works partially :S

    When I comment some post, I check the “Subscribe Checkbox” but it doesn’t subscribe the post to that mail. If I go to the Comments Section in WordPress Admin Panel, it shows that the commenter is not subscribed to the post, but I checked the option :S. And the mail that I’m using to test is not the admin mail, it’s just other useless e-mail account I have.

    But, the strange thing is, that if I choose the option “Subscribe without commenting” it works :S

    Anyone knows how to solve this?

  • Have you approved those ‘pending’ comments? StCR doesn’t consider a user “subscribed” if the corresponding comment hasn’t been approved by an administrator. If you did, it could be a conflict with the CAPTCHA plugin you’re using on your site. Anyway, I just left a comment on your blog: please approve it and answer to it so that we can see what happens.

    When I was testing, I was aproving the comments. I just approved your comment and replied, but I can see that you’re not subscribed :S. I’ll disable the CAPTCHA plugin just for testing.

    I’ve discovered the error. It’s not caused by WP-reCAPTCHA. It’s in the WP options. If I disable the “Need to approve comments before they show up” options in the Discussion Options Panel, it works. Now, the question is why this happens?

    Okay, problem found. There was a bug in the source code for this specific situation. It will be fixed in 1.4, are you interested in testing it before it’s officially released?

    I didn’t have time to test it, but I have the options disabled so it works even with the old version.
