  • @katart17,

    Subscribe2 and FeedBurner essentially provide the same solution but in a different way but they don’t really overlap.

    Subscribe2 takes your content and delivers it to subscribers by email and you manage the subscribers list.

    Feedburner takes your content from your feeds and delivers it to subscribers by email to a list of subscribers managed via Feedburner.

    To add tracking you’ll need to customise your options in Feedburner. Try googling “Feedburner tracking” for information on how to do this.

    I have added tracking within the Feedburner options but do I have to tell Subscribe2 to do anything? Do I need to create a Tracking URL and add it to the Add Tracking Parameters field?

    I guess I’m just confused on how to use the Add Tracking Parameters field.

    Thanks

    @katart17,

    You don’t have to add tracking details in Subscribe2, it’s there as an option if you want to use it.

    By adding tracking data in that field you’ll be able to see how many visits to your site originate from FeedBurner and how many originate from Subscribe2. If you are not going to look at these stats or don’t care where your visitors are coming from then it a pointless exercise adding tracking in the first place.
