  • @andyd69,

I think it’s coming from NextGen Gallery. Clicking almost anywhere in the Subscribe2 placed widget results in a page refresh, it happens if you click on the text “You can now subscribe to English Mum posts and content via email >” and “Thank you!”.

Try disabling your other plugins for a minute and see if Subscribe2 then works as expected without page loads. Then reactivate them one at a time and recheck after each one until you find the conflict.

    @andyd69,

Scratch that, you have somehow wrapped the entire Subscribe2 widget in link tags back to itself, source for the page is this:

    <a href="https://englishmum.com/about-me"><span class="sidebar-box-title">Subscribe by Email</span><div style="clear: both;"></div><div class="search">You can now subscribe to English Mum posts and content via email > .. snip Subscribe2 form code here ..
    Thank you!</div></a>

You don’t need to do that and it’s the cause of your problem.

    Hi Matty

    Nope, didn’t make any difference.
I’ve just added the same plugin to another blog and it works fine.

It’s actually diverting off to the about me page, but I’ve set the widget up to work with Email Subscription page? Could be related?

    Andy,

Did you see my follow up comment? Then HTML for the entire widget is wrapped in a link tag to the about me page. You” have to investigate where that comes from because it’s not part of the Subscribe2 widget.

Sorry, no didn’t refresh and see that!

I’ve manually edited no code, just installed the plugin.
Where do I need to edit? (Designer not coder!)

    thanks, Andy

    Andy,

I’ve got no idea where that link code might be coming from, all I can tell you is that it isn’t from Subscribe2, unless you added that to the Pre and post content boxes in the widget settings.

You might want to look at your theme files or maybe other plugins.
