• We’ve been using this plugin for years with our cdn, suddenly now it isn’t finding the list of containers we have. The drop down is blank and when you click the down arrow nothing happens. You can’t click save after you’ve done so once (button is gone) and s you essentially can’t remove/edit/change any of the content you’ve saved.

@virteom Thanks for the report. Would be helpful if you can let me know which version of the plugin you’re currently running, as well as which versions of WordPress and PHP you’re on. Also, if this problem started happening after updating something (like this plugin) that would be good to know. Thanks!

Hey! It did start happening after the latest update! I noticed on another clients site; was fine and then I did the update then the container was blank and no ability to select any of them.

We’re currently on Version 4.3.4? of the plugin, WordPress 6.1.1 and PHP 7.4.33.

Thank you so much don’t hesitate to reach out with more questions ??

@virteom Do you happen to know what version you were on before updating to the 4.3.4 release? Just looking at what went out in that release (if curious, can see that here) basically the only changes here are either to files that don’t make it in the final release (like test files) or various version bumps, which none of those changes should cause any sort of regression. So curious if you were on the 4.3.3 release before or if you updated from an older release. Thanks!

Hey! I don’t know for sure – we have like 200 sites that we manage so every one is probably different. I know that the way I came upon the issue was on a new build, where I installed the plugin for the first time on the site and it was version 4.3.4. I do have a client on 4.3.2 and their plugin does show the container. I haven’t updated their plugin yet but I can if you want me to see what happens. Also we go this email this morning on one of our sites:

    Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Microsoft Azure Storage for WordPress.

First, visit your website (https://inchcreative.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://inchcreative.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=windows-azure-storage-plugin-options) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://inchcreative.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=cQz3kTOl52aJsWk2gxy6Fn&rm_key=CvL9apfLrzoDT6bKnJlxlF

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 6.1.1
Active theme: Beaver Builder Child Theme (version 1.0)
Current plugin: Microsoft Azure Storage for WordPress (version 4.3.4)
    PHP version 7.4.33

Sorry for the delay here but finally had some time to dive into this and was able to figure it out.

In the latest release, we fixed some compatibility issues with PHP 8.1 but in doing so, that broke compatibility with PHP 7.4.

We are currently deciding whether we bump our minimum version to PHP 8.0 (which will solve this) or if we try and maintain support with PHP 7.4. In the meantime, there are two options you can take:

    1. Rollback to v4.3.3 of the plugin
    2. Upgrade to PHP 8.0+ on your server
