• I can see the benefits of this plugin, and likely will be using it in future as I develop websites. Thanks for your contribution to WP community!

Currently the plugin does not support any type of subdomain creation with using the csv: can this be added in the near term? I can see this being really handy. Obviously the creation of wild card domains would have to be done manually in the control panel and only 1 database could be used by all the subdomains.

Preferably, for me, this format of subdomain would be ideal: aaa.bbbbb.ccccc.mydomain.com/prettylink.* … example:
    ca.ontario.toronto.cool-places.com/chinatown.html

Realistically, I am willing to move along with any stable format that can be used ??

    Thanks for consideration!

yeah this is entirely possible however i think a more modular approach is necessary rather than tbrowing all that functionality in one plugin. find a plugin that can create subdomains as pages and an ideal plugin would include a cpanel api that would generate the subdomains for you. in any case there are subdomains plugin that exists and you can aquire the postmeta to specify through this plugin in order to generate various subdomians via csv values. i will reply with a more instructional response once i have a crack at it myself

Thanks for the response! … I did run across a plugin that generates subdomains from categories: for some reason I was not really comfortable with anything that potentially would confuse me later on .. lol

Despite its HUGE popularity, cpanel is not the only choice available for hostings, and some of my domains exist fine without it ..:) … Optimally API integrated would be great … maybe not really needed ?!

I haven’t tried it personally yet, but I understand that subdomains could be ‘contained’ with *.*.mysite.com –> folder mysite.com is installed in, without need to name each and every subdomain specifically in the hosting panel. I will test it out and let you know how it works on my hosting later today. Hope this makes everything easier so as not need API to be integrated.

Looking forward to seeing what you can add in, or moduleize

If you can provide me a subdomain plugin that you plan on using i can see if its compatible with the functionality of this plugin
