I am trying to require the user enter the CAPTCHA, but I don’t see that as an option when creating the survey. I am using version 1.7.1

Also, I don’t see where I can make a question required.

I saw on another thread a user mentioning making a custom response when the submit button is pressed. I don’t see this as an option. Also, not sure if you are aware, but the generic thank you states “you input” instead of “your input”. Can you tell me how I fix this?

Finally, how do I require the user to be logged in before they start to fill in their data? I have the button selected in WP requiring them to login before they submit comments, but this doesn’t seem to be linked.

    Thanks for your help!

CAPTCHAs are always required when then are added. Just select ‘number captcha’ or ‘recaptcha’ in the .’type’ field to add one. However to use recaptcha you MUST have entered the reCAPTCHA keys. To do that go to the reCAPTCHA menu option.

To make a field required, check the ‘Mandatory’ box on the manage screen.

To change the submit response, you need to change the ‘thank you’ message in the ‘response’ section on the ‘manage’ screen.

I can’t find any response that says ‘you input’ or even ‘your input’, this would be a common typo for us.
Can you please be a bit more specific so we can fix this in the next release.
The standard response for a survey is:

    Thank you
    Your answers have been recorded

    unless this has been changed.

Thank you for your quick reply.

On the manage page, I do not see any of the options mentioned (number captcha, recaptcha, mandatory, or the option to change the message).

Not sure what is wrong. I just downloaded the plugin yesterday. I have wordpress 3.1 and am using Firefox 3.6.16.

I go to Tools>Manage Surveys. I then have the option to manage questions of my current survey or create a new one.

When I click Manage Questions and select edit on one of my questions the options I see are the formatting buttons and then the options for the type of answer formats I want.

    For the typo:
Once you press the initial submit button it takes you to a screen that states, “Thanks for taking the survey. You input is very valuable to us. If you want, you can attach your name to your survey answers. If you want the result to be anonymous, just ignore this form.” Then you have the option to submit your name and email. Once you click submit the survey button you get the message you mention above.

    Thank you!

    “Tools>Manage Surveys” ?

It sounds like you are not using our plugin.

Wow, I am totally embarrassed. My apologies. You are right. That would explain it. Not sure how that happened, but I switched plugins and now I am able to make a survey exactly how I want to. Thank you so much for your time and sharing your plugin.
