    Hello,

I have been using this plugin for years without any issue. Today I found out that the plugin wasnt posting the tweets. I found out that the plugin was suspended in my Twitter developer page. Is this an API version issue? Will this plugin be updated to support that?

Please let me know and thank you to developer for the continued support!

So I downgraded to free version and the app was unsuspended. However, it’s still not posting and am getting this error:

“403 Forbidden: The request is understood, but has been refused by Twitter. (Error Code: 453: You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level. You can learn more here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/product)”

@joedolson any plans to update the plugin? I think most users will be on free plan.

    Let me know ??

No, no plans to update the plugin. There are no obvious updates I could make that would definitely solve this. Based on the messages, a complete rewrite to use Twitter API v2 might do it, but I don’t have the time to do that, and very little trust that it would actually solve the problem.

Hey @joedolson we believe we have a working fix that will resolve the issue with the errors.

We will test and monitor our implementation in the next couple of days and if everything is working fine and in case we don’t face issues, we could share with you the code so that you can update the plugin and make everyone happy.

@joedolson Please read my ticket: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/api-v2-issues-has-been-fixed-by-twitter/

Two plugin creators already fixed the issue as Twitter fixed their issue few days ago.

Now suspended free accounts are working again.

So please update your plugin once more

@vabrashev could you share your patch? I would like to test it too.

I have the same problem, can anyone help me?

@vabrashev If you want to contribute your patch, I’d certainly welcome it. You can make a pull request at any time at https://github.com/joedolson/wp-to-twitter/

While I have updated the plugin to support Twitter API v2, I do not yet have any data whether this will make any impact on app suspensions.
