When I write a testimonial and click “view testimonial” it follows the permalink but to a “Page not found!”.

I disply my testimonials in the widget as well as on a full page but when I post a new testimonial, a post is automatically sent to FaceBook and uses the testimonial source & permalink as the link which doesn’t work – make sense?

Also it would be great to be able to separate the testimonials on the full page by what product they are about – will this be a feature at any stage? Thanks!

    1. Look in the FAQ for ‘My testimonial URL says “Page not found”‘.

    2. Configure your FB plugin to not send on custom post type.

    3. Look at Shortcode Examples using category.

Hi Michael, thanks for your help. I’ve sorted the FB issue but unfortunately I played around wiht the shortcodes and I can’t figure out how to display my testimonials on the page under their categories. I was hoping to find somethign that would display them under either under the Category headings or you click on the category headings to show those testimonials. The WP Super FAQ plugin uses the shortcode ‘show_categories=true’ and the page is displayed like this: https://www.odorex.co.nz/faqs/

There’s no automatic testimonial by category listing, but you could do it manually via the following shortcode.

    <h3>Product</h3>
    [testimonialswidget_list category=product]

Thanks Michael but I don’t see an option to select what product each testimonial refers to in the settings, you can only select it’s category so I don’t see how this shortcode would work?

Are you using categories or tags when creating testimonials? If so, you can use that for your grouping and listing of testimonials by types.

Otherwise, I think I don’t clearly understand what you’re trying to accomplish. Can you please provide a visual? When looking at the plugin screenshots, do you see the same options on your WordPress installation?

Hi Michael, yes I use categories but not tags. I’m unsure what shortcode to use in my page to show the testimonials by category so a visitor just clicks on the categorgy on the page and then all teh testimonials under that category appear. If this isn’t a feature already then not to worry.

Can’t provide visuals in this forum.

Just donnated some coffee money to your PayPal – thanks for your work on this testimonial!

If you check [reply](https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-testimonials-widget-permalinks-not-working?replies=7#post-3272677), you’ll see the shortcode for listing testimonials by a particular category.
