[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Breaking NextGen Slideshow on posts

I’m building a site that includes a NextGen slideshow as part of the background. The slideshow works perfectly until I hit a post or page related to Events Calendar.

I notice there’s some jquery going on in the calendar but it’s based on the events.js, which is fairly simple stuff. I don’t see anything in there that would break NextGen so badly. Any ideas?
