[Plugin: The Events Calendar] can’t reconcile new ‘Events’ category with prior ‘events’

  • I’ve adding my first event and I have at least two (related?) problems:

    1. On the post itself you will see there is a long stretch of blank space in the body of the post. I’ve been unable to close or remove this. This space does not occur on the event’s home page listing

    2. I have been unable to reconcile the new ‘Events’ category with the prior ‘events’ category. I tried to deactivate the plugin and edit it, changing CATEGORYNAME from = ‘Events’; to = ‘events’; before reactivating but this did not resolve this or the prior issue.

    Any assistance or even a nudge in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

  • To the second point I had the same problem. If you don′t want to wait for a next update, you must change also name of you category in the-events-calendar.php file.
    CATEGORYNAME = ‘Events‘;
