[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Different design between local and web version

Hi there Youri. Thanks for the note here, and for sharing some screenshots explaining what’s up. I believe the solution here would be to change the template option under Events -> Settings -> Template. Looking at your first two screenshots, for example, where one includes the sidebar and the other doesn’t…this is because each of those sites has a different template selected. If you match up what you have on live with what you have on local at that Template dropdown, it should be consistent.

Can you take a look and let me know if that does the trick? Thanks in advance!

I think I solved the problem by modifing the ecp-page-template.php and ecp-single-template.php and adding some other <div>

I still don’t understand why there is no problem with the local site and one with the web one. But with this modifications, it looks good.

The first problem I identified was that the web site lost a <div> so the footer where in the <div id=”page” > which is center with a special dimension, so I had to add a </div> before the get_footer(); and then I add <div id=”content” …> to the different files to have my background back.

Strange problem, but I think it’s solved.

Thanks for the follow-up, fr.youri – it sounds like you found a solution that, while not the one I initially proposed, got you where you needed to be. Fantastic to hear.

If you do find that the behavior returns (I too am at a loss as to why it’d behave different between local and live, assuming all else was equal)…let me know and we can take another look.
