  • Hi there Purplecat! Apologies that it took me until now to get back to you. August is a slow month for us as much of the team takes vacation during these few weeks, so we slow down and haven’t been hitting the forum here as often. We’re getting back up to full speed this week, returning to our 1x/weekly rounds on these forums, and I wanted to check back in on this one.

The easiest fix I can think of right off the bat here would be to just change the default events view to ‘list’ (under Events –> Settings), so that whenever someone navigates to /events they are immediately taken to the list view instead of calendar view. Would that solve your issue here? Let me know if not, and we’ll keep looking into this as needed for you. Cheers!

Hi, I have the same problem ?? and really need to use list/calendar views links for french and UK version of my website. Any ideas ?

Hi there mojo74. If changing the template doesn’t work, can you post a link to the site so I can check this issue out directly? I’m still not quite sure I understand what the specific problem is after reviewing the initial note here…

Thanks in advance. I’ll watch this thread and respond accordingly once I see you’ve commented again.

Hi Rob, changing the template doesn’t work, I think that this is a problem of compatibility with qtranslate plug in.
Even if you set “/events” as event list permalink, this automatically change into /events/month
Normally qtranslate doesn’t translate permalink while event calendar automatically translate the event list/calendar permalink in each language (for example eventh/month for english, events/mois for french, events/mes for spanish and all this generates error 404)

I hope that is clear enough ??

Hi Purplecat. It is clear enough, thank you for the elaboration. We are actually looking into the issues related to Qtranslate now…since you and I exchanged notes a week ago we had another report of it and it does seem like there is a lot of demand for this integration. No guarantees but we’re working to try and rectify that for our next release and will definitely let folks know once we have found a solution. Apologies that I couldn’t offer up more in the short-term, though.
