I seem to be having an issue with the_title on the event list page.

The first event in the list has the title of ‘Upcoming Events’. I’m assuming that somehow it must be being overridden by the page title because if you click ‘Previous Events’ the first event on that page has the title of ‘Past Events’.

Here’s a link, can anyone please help?

    Oh sorry, here it is

Hi Alan, what theme are you using? Have you tried switching the events template setting in Settings > The Events Calendar? That may help…

I started out with the twenty eleven theme but it is heavily edited. I tried changing the template but that didn’t seem to solve the issue.

I think I’ve fixed it. I’m not saying it is the best solution but for now it works.

In plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/the-events-calendar.class.php find the call to the function maybeAddEventTitle (around line 185) and comment out the line.

    Hey Alan,

Hacking the core is no good… I assume you are running the latest version of the plugin? Have you tried a fresh copy of the Twenty Eleven theme to see if that helps? What about deactivating other plugins to rule out a conflict?
